What’s the ideal packaging for your product? Our teams are there to help you identify it. We control the whole new packaging process from design and printing to finish. Packaging development
What are your packaging needs? What do we need to give more attention to? Freshness, shelf-life, protection? Storage, transport, branding? Exclusivity? Our designers will get to work based on your input and their knowledge. They give you expert advice on trends, innovative material, finishes, colours and so much more. But ultimately, you make the call.
Packaging design
Once there’s an approved concept, we’ll make a true-to-life 3D rendering of the packaging. To save valuable time and rule out mistakes, we’ll finetune the design for you. The prepress department will then check printing feasibility. In consultation, we’ll select the optimal solution in terms of design and functionality. Our CAD/CAM specialists will then make a prototype on the cutting plotter to test run the production process and evaluate the product.
Packaging production
Has the packaging artwork been approved? Have the colour proofs been signed off? Then we’ll launch production. Our offset presses can print any colour (up to seven per pass): full colour, PMS or your own specific colours. Our colour management system ensures that the colours match the proof perfectly.
And then it really picks up speed. We quickly process and dry the sheets with IR and/or UV drying. We have small- and large-format presses, so we can be very flexible in terms of print runs.
Like to give your packaging that little bit extra? You have an almost unlimited selection of finishes to choose from.
Packaging finishing
We finish the packaging with one or two types of varnish, from mat dispersion varnish to barrier varnish, from blister varnish to sand lacquer. Our foiling machines for hot and cold foil stamping offer a huge choice of exclusive product packaging with an original finish. Not least gold, silver, hologram or metal foiling. Perhaps you’d prefer another colour?
Window patching (transparent or non-transparent foiling) and advanced die-cutting techniques (window die-cutting, embossing, pull-strip, perforation) can add another dimension to your packaging. Fold gluing increases the packaging options again. Or we can create in-line labelling tags, sticks and labels for your packaging, saving you time and money.
Engineering services
But we offer much more than P for Packaging: that’s clearly shown in how we optimize the production process. We are constantly searching for ways to improve our technologies and all steps in the supply chain. This results in fewer errors, a better return, a smaller ecological footprint and: satisfied customers.
Co-packaging
