VDV Packaging buys Czech company Unipap a.S.
VAN DE VELDE PACKAGING acquires unipap a.s. a Czech company specialised in the production of industrial corrugated packaging and products made of foam. They produce both conventional standardized packaging, and custom packaging created to meet all requirements for safe transfer. Unipap’s philosophy : to provide clients more than other packaging manufacturers, namely a real and responsible partnership when providing packaging. A philosophy that matches perfectly with the vision of VDV Packaging. Unipap differentiates itself from other packaging manufacturers by always offering innovative packaging solutions, for a wide range of industries.
Their most important customers include manufacturers of electronics, automobiles and automotive components, chemical and engineering industries and other areas. Its main markets are the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Austria and Slovakia. Unipap seeks to optimize operations, invest in new production technologies and focus on efficient business processes and value flows.
With this new acquisition VDV Packaging takes its first stept into the Czech market. With this company the groups turnover grows to €350 mio. The number of people working at the 19 plants of the group increases to 1700 FTE’s. Thanks to the diversification across Europa, Unipap will also be able to distribute and sell its products to a wide audience. Furthermore they will also be able to provide their existing customers with all products of the portfolio of VDV Packaging group, such as: solid board packaging, folding board packaging, corrugated and microflute packaging, premium packaging, paper cups, labels, stickers, catalogues, used boxes, counter displays and more.
